You would need to put it under the eaves if you're going to add a solar panel. The port will definitely get wet if exposed to a foggy morning.

Flap opens, and the official Eufy solar panel comes with a sealing gasket. If you were in a very wet environment, I would probably flex seal the connection spot or caulk over it once you connect the cable.

It seems to do much less time than advertised in cold. I think it discharged in like 2 months. I may have had it set to record too much. The less often and length of recording helps.

Got a couple of these recently from the Anker refurb store on eBay, which I presume is pulling from the same stock. One was clearly used with visible scratching on the black front face plate, but works fine. Functionality wasn't impacted at all. The second was brand new, sealed.

These are perfect for areas like side yards and shed or areas that have little to no traffic and still want to keep an eye on things.

8gb, honestly, is nothing if it's recording in 2k.
