Reviews sound like short expiration date. 3 months to go through 15lbs?
The more aged the basmati rice, the better it is.

S&S 25% is either YMMV or the deal is dead.

Keep it in the freezer and that will not happen and it also prolongs it's shelf life

Keeping processed basmati rice for years on shelves won't age it. The rice with bran is aged and when it reaches an appropriate age, it's processed.
It is the same as keeping a bottle of whiskey for years will not age, the whiskey has to be kept in barrel for aging

Right… but I used to purchase the 15$ variety OP posted from Costco (20lb bag) , but that's always never aged. Not sure if they get the actual year on pkg though

Add crushed garlic cloves with skin on or cinnamon sticks around any groceries to avoid bugs… Natural repellent

That's a storage problem. If you keep it in the bag for a long time, bugs will obviously find their way in. Store it in a dry, airtight container and it will last a year or more easily.

If stored properly, white rice can be used years after the "expiration date." Sometimes decades even. The expiration date is required by law and they can't just leave it blank.

Can I reseal these poly bag? My rice container is only good for 10lb.
The outer bag is a plastic bag and is stitched on the top with a seam; there is another plastic bag inside that contains the rice. Both the bags once you open it, there isn't a way to seal them unless you use some kind of tape to seal it.

ALL of these S&S deals are YMMV. Amazon is being extremely nuts with who gets the algorithm lottery discounts and who does not. It's been going on since last fall. You'll see it with any food product and much more. SlickDeals needs to start posting disclaimers on behalf of these postings.
