Not sure. I just did this hackable last week using the link where you have to add the battery separately (non bundle) which is still available: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../300272791

This way, it adds the battery @ $81 and the hedge trimmer @ $97. I was in the market for one and people were trying to sell used ones for $125 and new ones for $150 on FB marketplace.

Keep in mind this trimmer is heavy compared to a corded trimmer. It does work well not only for the shrubs but for the forearms as well.

Any chance this battery works with ego equipment
No, Milwaukee and all the tool brands use proprietary batteries

The way I got it to be hackable is to order for pickup at two different stores. Just pickup the tool from one and let the other expire or cancel. The store with the battery actually cancelled it without me doing anything lol. The methods I kept seeing posted for Ship To Home/Pick-up did not work for me.

Just ordered two sets this way, will pickup the tool locally then cancel the battery that'll be at a store in a different state. one for me and one for dad

Damn! I just bought the Dewalt trimmer 3 months back. It's been fine, but I didn't get a good price on it. This looks like a very good price. Story of my life. "Missed it by that much!"

Ryobi 40v brushless 26" is $200 currently at Home Depot for those not committed to Milwaukee's battery ecosystem. Pros and cons: 26" vs 24", 2.0Ah vs 5.0Ah, 1" cut vs 3/4", 3000spm vs 3400spm, $200 vs. $180.

Greenwerks also has a 26" model. Brushless, 60v, 2.0Ah battery, 1.1" cut, 3200spm $160.

I currently have a 21" or 22" and could really use a bit more length.

The 5.0Ah battery will be noticeably more heavy to most when in actual use. I switch between a 2.0 and 5.0 battery when using a string trimmer and a leaf blower, and switching to the 2.0 is always noticeably more pleasant. Thinking about it more, I'm not sure I'd want to use a 5.0Ah with a hedge trimmer.

Anyone have thoughts on this vs. the ego 52v? I own the m12 line of Milwaukee and haven't dipped my toe into the m18, but I also have the ego batteries..

Single side blade. Even with hack $97 for the trimmer not a good deals. Got a combo meal drill and impact with 2 xc batt for $200 few years ago and the cbuck on drill broke after warranty expired. It a known problem where they use cheap chuck. Try to find 2 xc batts for $200 never mind the tools. Over hype so are the price.

IMO, stick with the Ego stuff since you have the batteries. Ego made it's name on OPE, Milwaukee on tools. I'm not saying team red is bad, just that battery platforms are quite expensive.
Also, I read somewhere and anyone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but Ego is supposed to be releasing a new line up this fall which means the old stuff could be on clearance.
M12 is a different deal. I love my M12 tools.
This deal doesn't include a charger so you will need that as well.

What is the best way to "hack" these deals when you are required to ship both or pick both up? Select different stores like mentioned above?
