This fan moves lots of air into a relatively diffuse ring pattern compared to many other fans. So when standing directly in front of it at any distance, it appears to not be pushing much air. But when placed in the right location of a large room, it definitely circulates the entire room's air very well. Beautiful fan otherwise. I'd prefer a more focused stream of air, so am thinking about returning the one I bought... but since my Florida home's central AC just died, I may decide to keep it, as it's doing a great job at sucking fresh air through the house.

I've never seen so many split reviews. Some people say it works great, others say the complete opposite.

Bought this and immediately returned it once I turned it on. This thing barely blows any air surprisingly and others have stated the same. I would stay away

Bought it a couple weeks ago. Perfect for my indoor cycling, and worked great on the patio keeping us cool and the bugs away. Wish it had another handle for carrying, but I'm moving it up and down stairs more than the average user.

Bought one for $99 this past week. Works well. Seems to move quite a bit of air. Not sure what expectations are, but for a 24" fan for $99 it does well. Basically same fan at Harbor Freight is $149.99.

Same it works great here . I guess if you were hopping for a straight blast of air like vortex maybe you will be disappointed but this thing is pushing air . And to those on the fence ask a Costco employee to plug in the display and judge for yourself before buying

How loud is this? Was wanting a fan on my deck this summer for airflow and keeping bugs away. Also is it waterproof?

I bought it and while a good price, I agree that it doesn't feel like a lot of air is pushed. If you're standing about 5 feet or more away, you'll barely feel it. But up close you can definitely feel it is moving air. It could be due to the thin shape of the design.

There is a Lasko floor carpet fan at cost for about $70 at Costco, and I think that might move air at a greater distance.
The Lasko fan works much better for getting direct air flow. I returned the desalt and bought the Lasko instead. Works great for my garage.

Yes, some like it, while others are not fans... From the pictures the blades don't look very aggressive compared to similar fans. Maybe theyre trading off some CFM capacity for noise reduction.

I mean… it's moving air. Do you have it in a corner with limited air flow? Try to open your garage door and blow air inward

I was tempted to get that one too for a different application ... This one is garage use for me.

Bought this yesterday and posted .... Haven't opened it yet. Figure if it doesn't work well, Costco return is super easy.

Everyone on the edge... By first, think about the reviews later. It's from Costco n you can return it if you don't like it.

If you really care about it I guess you could make a cowling to direct air in more of a forward direction
I'm not convinced that would make much difference. It looks to me like the blades are too flat. Big fans like this normally have aggressively angled blades that move a lot more air. CFM comparison, if available, would tell the story.
