I noticed is always activate your Costco membership in the beginning of the month to get the entire month. Something to remember.

Costco ends your membership at the end of the month regardless of when the membership was activated in that month.

The credit card I used to create the account was lost and I cancelled it 3 months later; I notice I never got the gift card. I went to my local Costco, and they were unhelpful. They informed me because I "tried to skip auto subscribe" by "losing my card" I was side stepping the program requirements so Costco decided not to send a gift card or coupon. Keep in mind, I went up there and was really chill about it, five months later. I figured I'd done something to screw it up, I was just surprised at how militantly unhumorous they seemed to be about..... everything. That being said, it sounded more like the employees had totally run into that problem before and that was the corporate line.

Not in my opinion. 20 miles is far out of the way. Sams club offers many of the same advantages.
