Costco ends your membership at the end of the month regardless of when the membership was activated in that month.
Also, for those that buy this deal, if you buy the business card, there is a good chance that you'll spend enough at Costco to get enough in cash back to pay for the yearly membership. Hell, I probably spend enough on just gas at this point. And cash back from the Citibank card is like a double dip, if you can handle having to deal with Citibank.

I did like a lot of the food items at Costco though.
