Costco ends your membership at the end of the month regardless of when the membership was activated in that month.

But when you do eventually renew your membership, they will renew it at the last expiration date. They will not renew it on the date you are renewing.

Not valid for the renewal of an existing Costco membership.
Uhh...... these seem contradictory
I did just that few years ago and plan to do the same this time.

It usually gets emailed to you or mailed if there's no email on file. You can also go to the customer service at the store. They're always awesome and will surely get you fixed up.

There's some other perks with the Executive membership too that may interest people (insurance discounts, car rental/lease/purchase discounts, etc).
Of course, this is only a good idea if you're within close range of a Costco. If you have to drive 30 miles to get to one it won't be worth it.
