I bought this TV earlier for the $2250 price and I am 100% happy with the quality of images. I have a rather bright family room and this TV is just great in the room. Sure I wish I got it for the current $1960 price, but I'm done wheel'n and deal'n for a big screen TV.... I'm just enjoying it now. Thank you SlickDeal members for posting about this TV !

This TV is too big for me, but damn do I want to buy it anyways. I refuse to spend $1200+ on 65" when 85" isn't even 2k.

Absolutely insane price though.

I don't think you read it right. I was comparing to what the new normal price, not MSRP lol. So go look at the new normal price, and you'll find the new discount. It's not 40% anymore. I compared this to the BB price, which is the new normal. So maybe 20%.
