Appreciate you walking me through it... still only seeing 3:1 tho...maybe it's because I "only" have Sapphire Preferred vs. some of the higher level Chase cards I've seen here lately?
Chase Freedom is one of the lower cards, so not sure. I used to have the Sapphire Reserve, but I cancelled it late last year. Normal is apparently 4 pts, so it's an extra 3 pts right now, for 7 pts total.

Good luck.

So tempted. I just got the 85" Q80A which is basically the new version of Q80T (rtings 8.3) for about 1450. Should I return and get this? Is the new QN90A worth ~300+ dollars?
That's what I'm going to do. The dirty screen and the blacks won't do it for me on the q80a. Local dimming is all kinds of meh.

But I've decided that Dolby vision and dts can kiss my ass. Im fine without it.

This TV is too big for me, but damn do I want to buy it anyways. I refuse to spend $1200+ on 65" when 85" isn't even 2k.

Absolutely insane price though.
I'll tell ya. 75" is ideal. I don't care how big your viewing room is. 85" just takes such a image quality hit. But wife has seen the 85" and there is no going back.

The DSE is really holding me back. Anyone comment on theirs?
Dse is unavoidable. I have a q80t and an x91j. Both huge ass 85" panels. The x91j scores pretty darn good but it's still there. If you're sensitive to dse then you might want to go oled. As for the q80t, well… yea it's pretty obvious.

I had the 77" C1 OLED in hand. But I was worried that the OLED wouldn't look great in my "Great Room" viewing area. Too many windows and ambient light, reflections, etc. 83" OLED is ideal, but it's so damn expensive for the extra 6", and burn-in anxiety is real. My buddy's LG B1 I think, has major burn-in, and looks like crap.

Hopefully this 85" Samsung, which gets great reviews for bright rooms, will hold me over for several years, until either OLED burn-in is less of an issue, and prices drop to sub-$3K for an 85". Or UST projectors improve and come down in price. Can't argue with the clean look of a UST on a frame screen.

Ask someone you know who goes to college if you can use their school email to create an account. Once you set it up, Samsung will send them a confirmation email and all they have to do is click on it to confirm. Then you can place the order and use your personal email at check out.

Do these multiples move around daily? It wasn't on my Ultimate Rewards landing page, and searching only got me a 3x hit... Thanks!
No, but the amount you get depends on the type of card you have (Sapphire/Freedom/Ink) and the 7x is for Freedom only. If you have a Citi card I think they're doing 4% through the bonus cash center but haven't verified.

You mind telling me exactly what your wrote to them? I don't want to mess this up and have them cancel or reduce the discount

Just say I am considering cancelling the order due to the shipping date is earlier or later than expected. Then fairly quickly they give the 10% offer.
