I bought this TV earlier for the $2250 price and I am 100% happy with the quality of images. I have a rather bright family room and this TV is just great in the room. Sure I wish I got it for the current $1960 price, but I'm done wheel'n and deal'n for a big screen TV.... I'm just enjoying it now. Thank you SlickDeal members for posting about this TV !

It's a stretch to call them clowns for saying that. You are brazenly extorting them, they knew it and played along. I mean do what you will to get a deal, but they are clowns to offer 10% back in the first place, not for telling you it can't stack.

This is the 3rd wall mount I buy from them, never had an issue,

Anyone near (or willing to travel to) San Jose CA who wants this deal? I have 2 on order but decided to keep only 1. Both orders have their respective 10% discounts. TVs are not here yet. Expected delivery is June 9. Mods can delete if this isn't allowed. Thanks.

Just took delivery of TV. However, not sure how I feel about the package seal. Look like it was re-taped and give the comments here, I'm somewhat suspicious and considering calling Samsung before opening. Already have the 10% discount so not sure what's to be gained from calling again.

Thoughts?
This makes me nervous! Can you share a pic of how it looks like, the wrapping to show it's not new…

People are reporting different issues with their deliveries? What should the delivery and TV look like without any problems? For instance, not a broken box, poor TV sealing/taping, no missing screen protector on screen of TV, etc.

I might be asking a silly question(s), but, I'll ask!!! And, given the comments I've seen on SD, I'm guessing that there'll be knowledgeable people about TVs going back more than 10 years (also posted in 75" thread, but I see that there are tons more involved in this QN90A discussion/thread -- looking for more thoughts, and opinions on this).

Motivating Situation: A 32" Samsung that I use in a sun room, and that I've had for about 8 years, is cooked, and I am going to replace it.

Current Inventory: I also have two 50", 720p, Panasonic Plasma's from 2009 (TC-P50X1) that are still working fine, and images look good to me (I only use them for watching tv, no gaming, no DVDs, etc.). One is in the family room, and the other is in the man cave.

Option 1 is replace the 32" with another smallish screen tv (maybe up to 50" screen). I'd probably spend $200-$400. TV use is minimal in this room, the sun room.
Option 2 is get the 65" QN90A for the family room, and take the 50" Panasonic Plasma in the family room, and put it in the sun room.

I'm loving the ridiculous reliability of the Panasonics, and the images look fine to me. But, I understand that I don't know anything better because I am accustomed to what I have. Although, I've watched more-current/modern televisions at airbnbs, and hotels, and have never come away feeling that I'm missing anything picture quality wise.

But, the reviews, comments, and deal, for the QN90A look super. Maybe it's time to get another TV. I don't know how much longer these Panasonics will go (the original specs, and literature claim I'd get about 33 years given 8 hours per day on average -- I don't use it that much).

My only concern is reliability with the QN90A. I've become accustomed to bulletproof reliability.

This question may tough to answer - Go more in the direction of Option 1, or in Option 2, or wait for the deal next year on the Q90B (which has supposedly cleaned up a few issues that exist with the QN90A -- I could probably wait as I've been going 13 years with my Panasonics, so, what's another year when I am looking to buy for the long haul) ? After typing that, and knowing this is Slickdeals, I think I already know the answer. Thank you!!!

I too, am replacing a Panasonic plasma TV (65") in our basement family room with one of these 85" QN90 units. Regarding the plasma, I would not recommend placing it in a room that has a lot of light, as it's doubtful your plasma will have enough brightness to give you a good viewing experience. It's the same issue with OLEDs; they aren't as good in bright rooms, but excel in dark viewing environments.

I haven't decided what to do with my plasma TV yet. I may try and sell it locally, although I'm not sure what kind of market there is for a 13-year old TV. Or I may just keep it and find another use for it or give to a relative.

If that old TV is 3D, it may be worth more now that you paid for it. My 75" 3D LG is on the resale market for double what the original price was.

Wow, that's awesome. Unfortunately, mine is from 2009, and is not 3D. Cost me around $2k new back then. Still works perfectly.

EPP. Does that mean I need to be a Samsung employee to get it for this price? It is coming up $2599 for me.
It's an employee discount program through your work. For example "Worker's Advantage" or "Perks at Work"
