According to LG website, you need to use a DisplayPort cable to achieve the 100Hz. Any HDMI will be limited to 75Hz

I couldn't, for the life of me, find the curve radius. Very strange, I even downloaded the manual and it was not listed there either.

VA panels usually have better black levels and higher contrast.

IPS panels tend to handle motion better.

Both can be used for gaming, neither is 'bad.' Just depends on personal preference.

I got one of these some months back. Works great for wide excel sheets and consolidating two monitors into one. Good height adjustment. No light bleed on mine. IPS is definitely better but a ultra wide IPS monitor is well over a grand. Overall I love it.

It's true, 100hz is only for displayport and hdmi maxes out at 85hz. I see a difference from 100 to 85, but 85 is still better than 60!

This is a pretty solid monitor for programming. The refresh rate is a bit misleading, you may need to have proper hardware/cable to accomplish the max refresh rate.

can't find it either, but for some reason i remember it being 1800r when i researched and bought it last year (returned due to ghosting/black smearing, but a good monitor otherwise). i remember the curve being very inoffensive.

hdmi limits it to 85hz (not much diff).

I've got this monitor. Using it for iOS development with a M1 Max MacBook Pro via a Thunderbolt 3 Dock and DisplayPort cable. It's pretty good. I love the 100hz refresh rate, but I've also got it next to a Dell 27" 4K IPS monitor and it took a few weeks to be ok with the resolution difference and the VA panel. It still kind of bothers me how "separated" from the surface the actual display panel is. If you look at it from an angle you'll lose the edges of your content. But I'm sure that's every VA panel.
At this price there's no IPS display that comes close though. I'd 100% buy it again.

Just wanted to share my experience with this monitor - now that I have had it for a year or so. This is an awesome ultrawide monitor. Great 1440p resolution and the 100hz refresh rate is a big step up and noticeable than standard 60/75hz.

Great for everyday use - side by side windows etc. but also great for gaming. I play several games at native resolution and I have a 5700XT card - which handles it fairly well with decent FPS. Skyrim on ultrawide is awesome !

I compared it side by side with the IPS panel (does not have the 100Hz) - and the colors I thought were better / more realistic with better contrast on the VA panel.

Could care less for the OnScreen control software. Its not bad but a bit clumsy to use

Just wanted to share my experience with this monitor. I use it to wfh and I would say it's equivalent to 1.5 27" monitors. Its enough for me to have slack running on the side and chrome or an ide running on most of the screen. It has a usb hub built in with easy height adjustment. Currently connected to my 2019 macbook pro. Best buy sells a version with usb-c so you can avoid using an adaptor, but once it's in place I forget about it. The built in speakers are loud and clear enough for podcasts and/or zoom calls. Plus the costco warranty can't be beat. Highly recommend at this price.

No, I have a LG VA gaming monitor and it's fine. If you play FPS or racing sims, than you'll want higher refresh rates 144hz or more.

I have the LG 4K IPS ergo monitor next to a LG 1440P VA gaming monitor and I prefer the contrast of the VA. The colors on the IPS are slightly better for videos and movies, but it's not a dramatic difference.
