Dell G15 Special Edition Gaming Laptop
This is one of the best deals I have seen for an RTX 3060-equipped laptop at $1000. The i7 11800H is on par with the Ryzen 7 5800H, but you get Thunderbolt 4. This is not a thin and light notebook, but if a close to a 6-pound laptop is not a problem, it may be hard to beat this deal right now.
Please go easy on me. I rarely post deals, but I thought this one was noteworthy.

I can't find it anywhere. You may be able to work it out from some reviews. It will be at least 95 Watts, but it may be a good deal higher. I would find some gaming benchmarks. They're definitely out there. It's a popular laptop.
To be fair, we all have horror stories of a laptop experience. Mine was with an Acer, but it can happen to any brand. Did support replace it for you?

It is for 11th generation Intel ones. But this CPU is a true 8 core chip with excellent performance. It's also in the Dell 16 Plus, which is about the same money, but with a paltry 3050 - non TI version.
I don't think it will go lower. They want to get rid of the 11th gen Intel stock. Dell is blowing them out, so I don't think they will still have them, but I could be wrong.
The old ones with hinges that were known to fail and a whole subreddit was made to fix the SE 5505 models numerous issues? I don't see how these can be compared to the old ones, if you get a bad unit from Dell, send it back for repair or return for free.
I was wondering the output wattage of the video card

Looks like 115w+15w boost. A similar g15 model non se was available from microcenter back in Jan for the same $999. When comparing the two I wound up with an omen 17 same cpu/gpu combo both 130w and $999 at that time. Performance should be exceptional 9000+ timespy score in a portable.
