I got this monitor but had to return it. I guess my desk setup is too close for it. The left and right side of the monitor looked washed out from looking at it straight on. This is definitely a TV first and a monitor second imo.
My panel also had a few dead pixels right in the middle of the screen which made me question the qc.
It was $130 off on Mother's Day and is also $100 off on amazon, I think this discount is probably just reflecting its real retail price so I wouldn't consider it to be a good deal.
Alternatives for office use would be the 32in LG that is on sale at costco now or the dell p32 q series.
Just my 2 cents for others doing research on their wfh setup.

Thanks for the tip; went through Amazon because it'll be here in 2 days instead of waiting a month for Samsung to ship. I've been testing office monitors for the business and this checks a lot of boxes.
I compared this to the M7 and couldnt justify spending more than twice, I went with the M7 for $250 from samsung.com compared to this M8 which was almost $600 at that time ( a month ago)
My experience is bad wit smart monitor 28" as the pixels are bad. I couldn't see the difference in Color's in my coding tools like IntelliJ. Don't prefer if you want to use for coding!

You are much better off getting the 4k Lenovo. A much better monitor. It can be had for $500 like I just got.

Bought the M7 last time it went on sale as well. There are some nice upgrades to the M8, but not enough to justify the price increase.
