Reviews on these are poor. Lots of people complaining about blisters, hard rubber, and being uncomfortable.

Ill give it a shot for $25. I know with Chaco's I have had in the past they did require some break in / getting the straps right. I wont be doing any marathons in these so I think they will be fine.

The retail price on these is about half of the retail price of the most popular Chacos sandal, the ones you are probably imagining in your head.

These seem to be a Chacos styled version of the Crocs sandals.

was thinking about getting these as a pair of house shoes, but the chillos (regular; not sport) seems to be the better option. Do I really need a heel strap? If anyone has these, and can comment on how easy they slide on and off, I'd be appreciative

Seems to be for only certain colors. For example, the moss green color is on sale.

For what it's worth, I don't have the Sport version, but I do have the regular Chillos. The normal ones stay on the foot pretty well as it is. Better than a standard Adidas slide. For that reason, I'd say they're great as house shoes and even offer more mobility than flip-flops or slides. They also seem more breathable as the rubber doesn't cover the top of the foot like on the Sport version. I'm going to try these Sports for kayaking, but for casual activities the normal ones are great and I would imagine a more comfortable / safer bet. Yeah, price is high on normal ones. I've previously found discounted colors on Amazon. Or, there are the periodic sales at REI, Moosejaw, and other stores that offer 20% off or more to make it somewhat more affordable. Have gotten some for $35. I've seen some negative reviews of the normal ones, but my personal experience after a year of light use is that the durability is fine. The materials are higher quality than one would assume from looking at photos online. Good comfort. Of course, totally subjective to my pair / feet.

Reviews are pretty bad on these. Blistering, uncomfortable. Anyone have experience with these? Thinking they might be nice for my son.

Agreed!

I bought a pair of Oofos today and am currently blown away by the comfort!

I once tried a pair of Chacos but a different model, one of their premium sandals. They were so uncomfortable and had to be returned. This brand is awful. The arches are hard and high. It digs into your foot and throws off your gait. The material they use for the soles are extremely heavy. Feels like your feet are strapped onto a pair of bricks.
