I don't know if its a deal, but Ironmaster quicklock dumbbells are back in stock for MSRP $869 with stand and free shipping. I know some people have been waiting forever for these to get back in stock.

I like them. They feel better than powerblocks. It really doesn't take that long to make weight changes. I'll gladly sacrifice the speed for the overall better feel and construction; but I understand why a lot of people prefer powerblocks.

Powerblocks are great for speed of weight changes and I will probably never sell mine. You really can't drop them, but a set of crash pads alongside the bench allows a controlled descent without any damage to the PBs. The Ironmasters feel like regular DBs though and you could drop them without the crash pads with no worries. Either set is a great choice and it all depends on what you prioritize in your workouts. Some people opt to get both and use the Ironmasters for the heavier sets, which is a great setup if you have the cash to get both but lack the space for a full fixed set of bells.

That is my problem with powerblocks. The main advantage of powerblocks is dropsets. However, if you are not doing dropsets to absolute failure then you shouldn't be doing dropsets. LOL. Pretty sure it's there for liability reasons. Check out commercial gyms with those dumbbells which took plenty of abuse.
