As was suggested on buying the PS4 version I can agree. But if any game I can say I've gotten $70 worth, Forbidden West is one of the extremely few. I seriously can't recommend that one enough. Great gameplay and a fantastic story and characters.

For me, I'm waiting on Gran Turismo 7, though I'm still on the fence on that as they screwed too much with the in game economy, from what I hear.

Here's my play: Sign up for GameStop's power up program and get $10, plus $5 every month. Use those to buy PS store's gift cards and then buy the game once I have saved enough. As soon as I do that, the price will be lowered and everyone else who has waited will be rewarded.

I am in the exact same boat. Finishing up Elden Ring with Horizon waiting in the wings, deciding if I want to pull the trigger on GT7 but worried about in game currency. Graphics look awesome and would be fun to just have a racing game to play for fun between other games.

Exactly, as much as I love my racing games, I can't justify $70 for a game I don't know is worth it. Especially with how much they screwed with it. I miss the gameplay and progression from the first few Gran Turismo games. Starting out with a used beater and earning your way up. I think GT7 needs a price drop to build it's user base after the economics issues, because I don't trust it to be actually fixed yet, and I know there are many others who feel the same.

TBH I also didn't care much for GT Sport due to the assists being overly aggressive and turning them off made the tracks into a skating rink, IMO. I have Forza Horizon on my PC to get my fix for now, but I've been too far invested in Forbidden West to even get into it yet.

Last year was probably their big year. Between Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, and to a lesser extent console versions of Flight Simulator. Definitely not as many big exclusives as Sony at the moment, but they had a pretty strong second half of last year. Those games aren't for everyone, but none really have direct equivalents on other consoles.
