There is also a V10 Animal version with lower price. I'm not sure what is the different though. Never owned one.
The Cyclone V10 has several models based on the attachments it comes with (Absolute, Allergy, Animal and Motorhead). I'm surprised they used the term "Allergy" at all with the Cyclone V10 since it doesn't have a HEPA filter built in.

I have a Dyson and I also have an Eureka vacuum. I don't think I've noticed that big a difference in the two. Then again, I'm a single guy and hate vacuuming, which is why I bought a robot vacuum. I don't know which one sucks best and sucks least.

I got this for 350 from Walmart a few weeks ago. I really like this vacuum. The only thing that would make it better, is if you could slide the button into an on position rather than having to hold it down the entire time. It's not a problem for me really but it hurts my wife's hand if she vacuums for an extended time. Not sure if any other models have that feature. Otherwise we love it. Our first cordless and it makes the chore of vacuuming so much faster
Dyson's problem. I avoid them altogether. Even though I have a solution, use a zip tie to hold the trigger. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/m3JbMx3vc-o

These vacuums literally suck due to the battery crapping out after 2-3yrs of minimal use. I got the V7 version and after 3yrs of minimal use the battery holds 30 sec of charge. Battery is not replaceable without taking the unit apart and installing a sketchy aftermarket battery. Basically $300 down the drain.

My wife has the same problem. We got this from Amazon. It lasted for a year with daily use, I just ordered another. It helps. Thinking the exact same thing. The good part about the LG is swappable batteries.

Though for anyone thinking about a cordless stick (at least for the LG) the suction is pretty piss poor compared to a standard upright plug in. But... It works alright for dust and is super convenient.

Out of stock now

Don't be shocked if it shows back up at some point soon. Dyson loves to play games with their pricing and inventory to create want, "FOMO," and other conditions to get those on the fence to pull the trigger on a purchase. I went through all that when I bought my V8 with the soft roller head last year. In stock, then out, then back a few days later, on and on.

Check Wal-Mart.com as well, they're a dealer for "Dyson Direct." I ended up with a V7 Abso and V8 "Fluffy," bought a day apart, one directly, and one from Walmart.com, and they were shipped in the same manner from the same place. On the return they demanded their "Free tools" from the V7 back, and I expect the cost of shipping those 2 plastic tools to me, and then back to them on the return far exceeded their actual production cost at their Malaysian factory. 😂

I wouldn't be shocked to learn they have as many psychologists on their payroll as engineers. SMH...

Just fyi the Tineco pureone s11 (and possibly others) have this slide to lock trigger feature. We are die hard dyson fans but jumped on the Walmart deal for this product for $168, to see what all the hype is about. So far, we like it a lot.
