I knew better but had a newborn at home and wanted something quick and easy to play games on. It was a very good deal and served its purpose for awhile. I still get tempted by prebuilts because of the GPU situation and still having young children and not much time.

I may be biased, but this is obviously a repost of a deal posted earlier this morning:

I bought 2 30L with 3090s a couple months ago and instantly regretted it. Returned both because the thermals were horrible. The single 120mm radiator for the 5800x was not enough to cool the CPU. This 30L case only has 1 intake fan, which is abysmal to properly cool the entire system. HP also have sleep mode issues and will not sleep properly. I'd suggest going on to reddit Omen forum to read up on all the issues.

I think it has multiple places for adding some more fans which can be done to increase the cooling.

I bought an HP Omen several years ago and hated it. I couldn't upgrade some very simple things because of the case design. It's tempting to try again but I swore I'd never buy another one.

Am I missing something? How is this not a good deal? A 3080ti alone goes for $1300.

Because a regular 3080 is $500 cheaper and the difference in performance is extremely negligible. It's also using a rocket lake CPU which was a bad value when it came out much less with the 12400 now available for around $160 being equivalent or better while using less power.

These omen GPUs have terrible thermals. You'll need to replace the pads.

Anyone knows what cpu cooler can replace the stock cooler that comes with these Omen 30L? A guide for upgrading this specific system would be appreciated. I don't know what cooler would fit and what would not and so on. Thanks. I have the the 5600x version and when running full load, the cpu fan runs at max seed like a jet engine just to keep the cpu not going past 90C.

The Corsair h60 is one of the smallest aio cooler but have no idea if it fits in this case

Stock was fine for gaming loads but for better mining thermals I just added thermal paste between the metal inner frame and the heatsink. The thermal pads on the VRAM connect to the inner frame, and now the added TIM lets the heat get to the larger heatsink. Reference : https://www.reddit.com/r/HPOmen/c..._pics_and/
