I have the headset, the mic volume is pretty low. There is actually a firmware update needed because the default firmware keeps the level at 0 db and after the firmware update it's a little better but still on the quieter side even at 100.

Where do I download the firmware? And how do I even use it with them if they are wired?
I don't have the standalone mic, but I have the headset. It sounds really good, but the ear cups are small and it's definitely a tight fit. I have to adjust it and pull it off my ears every 10 minutes or so. The mic on the headset sucks, too.
Also, because I always see a lot of comments on the headset from people who don't know… you can only get 7.1 surround sound on PC. If you're using this on a console, you can't use the USB control adapter. You just have to plug directly into the standard headphone jack in the controller.
Also, yes, the headset works on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. You would think that wouldn't be something I had to say, but it is amazing how many people ask if wired headsets work on certain consoles. Of course they do.
I have both of these (bought seperate). The headphones are pretty good, music and games sound pretty good. Mic is also pretty good, nothing to write home about. (I use my wifes bose qc35 occasionally, and they are obviously a lot better) They are comfortable for about 6 hours on my head, but then they hurt my ears. Solocast Mic is also good, but the stand didnt have very good vibration dampening. I bought a desk mount and a shock absorbing stand for it, and I now dont get as much vibration coming through. Id buy again at this price for a mediocre business/streaming setup. People I work with on zoom compliment my mic quality often.

Cloud Core Wired. They typically retail for $50-$70 by themselves.

Bundled price is a good value, but if you have a big head and value confort I would pass on this headset.

For $25 this is a good one
But yeah, feels like HyperX is in process of clearing out its inventory or something.
