This is a nice set. Bought it last year and this exact deal pops up once in a while. The Lowe's deal that ended was the impact and drill for $129, (much discussion on this topic), it is the "MAX" line where as HD is the "Atomic" version. The higher end is "XR".
Love the compactness of the impact, so it's always in my bag along with DeWalt combo socket/bit set.
For $200, the deal posted is very good kit for a starter, Atomic stuff is pretty good and these are 3 very handy tools. And they are not bottom of the line tools.
Ridgid 18V Cordless 3-Tool Combo Kit with Brushless 3/8 in. Impact Wrench, Torch Light, and High Pressure Inflator (Tools Only)
Historic low was $109 (01/2022), I'm not sure if we'll see that again so I'll bite as I've been waiting on the inflator and somewhat wanting the 3/8", free flash light I guess. $129.00 sale price shows effective only today.
I noticed there is different impact drivers in the Dewalt "atomic" family. What is the workplace difference between these impact drivers in the special bundles and nicer ones with the modes.
I understand the nicer one has more power on paper (and a little shorter), but how noticeable is the difference when working on a deck for example?

The atomic are more compact. Between the shop I work in and my personal collection we have everything BUT the atomic and I never notice a difference between those tools.
As long as you get brushless, which atomic is, I don't think you can go wrong from what I have read about them.
[I do have an XR circular saw (60V) and it is better than the base 20V. There I can tell a difference.
Wandering between Ridgid v18 brushless vs M12 fuel hammer drill/impact driver combo, but now Dewalt Atomic is in similar price range..
I wonder if all of them have anti kickback?

According to some reviews some of the Atomic and XR tools, such as the one-handed reciprocating saws, multi tools and others are the exact same tools. Not me making the claim, but just saying.
i have these and these are really good tools for the price but while the1.3Ah battery will last a long time on the drivers but ill not last many cuts on the saw. With two batteries however you can just swap and charge as needed if you have DIY sawing projects

What is the most cost effective way to get both these items? Ebay or bare tools?

Or the Milwaukee 3-Tool M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill Driver/Impact Driver/Ratchet Combo Kit w/ M12 Hackzall Reciprocating Saw $218
Which would be the better deal? Very new to power tools so struggling to see the difference in the tools themselves
