When I was young, I had time but can't afford games. Few years ago, i could finally afford games but no time. Now you don't even have to purchase them, fate is just definitely messing with me.

Eventually, between Epic, Amazon, and all the other random freebies, buying a game will be considered crazy. I got FC4 last year, still haven't touched it. Oh well - it was only like $3.

It seems to me that they are saturating the market. Anyone who plays PC games and is a little deal savvy has almost a lifetime supply of games without ever having to purchase another one. I am sure they are all trying to get people towards their particular service but it might end up hurting PC games in the long run as there could be less demand for new games. Might help too if it shores up or grows the user base as people have flocked to consoles last couple of decades.

Either way, I'll take free games!

Dead space 2 and Curse of monkey island are redeemable until the end of May. Both good games.

FC4 is a very good game. Very similar to 3, very different than 5. I liked it much better than 5, personally.

It's been about two years since I played it last, but I remember thinking that it aged fairly well.

Dont Worry. In few years you would have time and Money but still may not be able to play it. Life is never fair for most of the living things in this universe.

I recently reinstalled it and it ran like absolute dog shit. It's like super cpu bound.

Same thing . I bought all of the Monkey Island games on GOG when they went on sale there and now most of them are free. Still haven't played (well re-played) them since I bought them .

I remember being a kid and walking around the video/game rental store wishing I had such an amazing collection at home.

Now I have 5 streaming platforms and Epic/Amazon shoving games down my throat. I really don't have interest in games these days but the old me still thinks the young me would be mad at him if he didn't take a few moments to hoard all of these.

These freebies got me back into gaming, after about 15 years of none. It was by pure accident. I bought a gaming machine just before the pandemic, because it checked all my boxes for a CPU/GPU capable desktop for doing work - not for gaming. And, I suddenly noticed there was a mountain of games that were being given away. The first game that really hooked me was Cities Skylines - couldn't put it down. Still a mountain of games left, but back in the "old days", they would have probably cost me $5000+. Now, I have an endless selection to just peruse, and I've probably paid $200.

My current favorite game is collecting free games. lol

I think FC4 is the best, upping the ante on all of the things that made FC3 great and before things fell apart with FC5. Give it a shot.

Unlike Epic, for Amazon you need to be a Prime Subscriber, so the games are not 100% free, but I get your point.

I have FC 3,4,5, and 3 Blood Dragon. Haven't even started the games, yet. Hopefully FC5 isn't too horrible, I paid a whopping $5 for it. lol
