Corn meal, filler ingredient, first list in the ingredient at that. Bumped up the carbs value. Happy to just buy the cumin and add some cayenne pepper that's on Slickdeals everywhere and you have taco seasoning.
Corn meal is a common thickener in Mexican food. If you're worried about a couple of carbs in your Mexican food, you have bigger problems lol.
Username checks out for sure. Corn meal does have a purpose as a thickener, probably shouldn't be the first ingredient though.

Thanks for sharing this. The single envelopes are around $1 so this is a great price. My second time purchasing this item.

A thread with all the spice would look better than one for each. Just imo

This has cocoa powder in it. I never noticed taco seasoning had that. I'm going to try it!

Odd wonder why since the packets it comes after the spices

I started making my own taco seasoning a couple years ago - tons of recipes online. Less expensive and tastes better, and all the spices get used in other things so they're already laying around the kitchen.

Their regular taco seasoning tastes better than their "premium". Not the deal price though..

Ended up being about $4 for me with 20% off coupon and S&S discount. I usually make my own taco seasoning, but I can't even make it for this low price. Great bargain for one of the best taco seasonings out there.

This is disgusting. Do not buy it. Its full of cornmeal filler and comes out gritty. They use cornmeal to replace far more expensive spice, and you have to cook it down for AGES to get rid of the grit, and even then the flavor is far less.

Terrible product.
