FWIW Newegg says its Microsoft Refurb in the title, but not sure I believe it.
I've bought items that were sold as new from Newegg, but they were used. For example, I've purchased an iPhone that was supposed to be new, but it looks like it's been used for years. Battery health at 80%

I used this laptop for my business a little over a year, and there is one somewhat major design flaw.

To make it as slim as possible, Microsoft decided not to put any protection around the edge of the screen glass. When it's closed, the edge directly touches the bottom (aluminum, I assume) of the laptop. You can clearly feel the screen hitting the bottom part when you close it.

So, if you carry it around in tight laptop bag, it continuously put stress on top of the screen. Issue on mine started with webcam not being recognized time to time. Some people further experience cracking screen.

I had Complete coverage, so MS replaced it. But make sure you are covered, or careful when you close it or carry around, so that screen is not stressed. Microsoft is well aware of the issue, and I believe they fixed the issue by putting protection around the edge with Laptop 4.

Otherwise, great laptop, but that one flaw made me switch to other laptop (XPS 13).

Summary of the comments section for those that do not want to read 5 pages:

Where can I find a deal on a 12th gen i9, 64gb of ram, nvidia 3080ti, and 6tb SSD (need 8000mps read and write), 244hz 4k OLED screen, with mechanical switches but thin and light (no more than 2 pounds please). My budget is $199 or below, would consider $250 as top if the deal is right but please dont recommend anything that is cheaply made, XPS, Razr, or Carbonx1 quality only. Thanks.

I agree if it was surface.. but this is Surface Laptop.

Just sSurface does not work for me as you can never use it in/on bed, on a couch etc.. always need a flat surface.. can't use it in your lap either as it needs support.

This is laptop. should be different
