Probably, even though it's not the lightest 13" 0.065 line trimmer.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Homel...70#overlay
5 lbs range wired.

This one is an example of the lighter trimmers out vs a gallon of milk/water at 8lbs.

The trimmer on sale is 6lbs, then add the weight of whatever battery you attach. (1/2lbs-1lbs)

So take a gallon of water, dump out 1/5 to 1/4, and hold that in your hand as you walk around for a few minutes.

There are even lighter.

e.g. 4lbs + whatever battery. (About half gallon of water)

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../203645932

..

Also, keep in mind length (some trimmers have adjustable length). If you're short and buy a long trimmer, it'll be so awkward trying to find a good grip and to balance the long trimmer as you cut.

The Homelite has an adjustable length.
The Ryobi is short.
Both fine for 5' 6" or shorter users.

(Tall men have the opposite problem. Short trimmers and they'll be hunched over.)

..

Both ryobi and this sale use 1 0.065" line to cut on the spinning head. Homelite uses 2 0.065" lines.
Obviously, 2 cutting lines will chew thru heavy grass faster than 1, so don't expect a speedy trim of a large garden on a 1 line trimmer. It'll never be as powerful and fast as those gas powered, 0.095" dual line trimmers.

....

To estimate trimmer runtimes.

Take the mAh rating of the battery.
Divide by 2, times 10 = approximate real life heavier grass runtimes.

Eg 2mAh / 2 x 10 = 10 minutes for this sale trimmer in heavy grass.

It'll run double that on light grass.

I've got one and been very happy with it given the cost. Doesn't have the power of my Stihl, but gets the job done for grass around the house, flowerbeds, fence, etc. And it's way quieter.

I had this (with the free tool) and I returned it after one use. If your yard is well maintained and trimmed this may work well to keep it tidied up but that is about it. The house we just bought has not had proper trimming for a while and this did not have the power to trim and edge anything. After returning it I went with a gas trimmer instead.

Do you know if this can be "hacked" like home depot? Does the "free" tool show a price on the receipt? I just need the weedwacker, battery and charger. Don't need any of the free tool. Wish there was a vacuum as a free tool, but none of the free tools I need.

Hope they fixed the auto feed issue. Mine worked fine with the initial spool. When I bought the replacement packs from Lowe's, they never fed correctly. Otherwise it would have been perfect

Oh wow. You're right. You can even add the cordless ratchet. That's pretty good for $99 total
