Also, it should be noted that the S70's heat sink cannot/should not be removed because doing so will likely break components on the PCB. This means that the integrated M.2 heat sink on your motherboard will need to be removed to run this drive if you have one

Just a heads up to clear up any info for someone looking at this deal.

IMO the blade version of this drive with the newer flash and heat sink separate would be more desirable. Etheir one tho is a good performer according to articles just be sure to update firmware.

It fits with the included heatsink with the PS5 SSD cover off. For what it's worth I've been doing this with this model for 8 months and it's been fine.

This likely won't fit in the majority of laptop since the heatsink is too tall. This is more designed for desktop usage, but even then, it can become an issue with height and block PCIe slots. Worst case, you can always take off the heatsink. There are other heatsink options for nvme drives for laptops if you really want to go that route, but many laptops already have a thermal pad to transfer nvme drive heat to laptop cases (assuming the case isn't all plastic).

Will not fit in the ps5 with the heat sink. You will have to use a blow dryer or heat gun to remove the heat sink and use a different one.

For anyone who doesn't know, there is no point in buying an SSD that's this fast, if you're getting it for the PS5, unless you just really want to. You will get maybe 2 second faster load times than even SSDs with speeds in the 3000 range. That's not an exaggeration. No games use the full bandwidth of SSDs yet, and it will likely be a long time before they start taking advantage of higher speeds.

It doesn't matter how much the hardware is capable of. It's like how the PS5 is plenty powerful enough to run any PS4 game at 60fps, but the vast majority still run at 30fps, because they haven't been patched to run faster. It's a software thing. My SSD is 3600MB/s and this will load games just a couple seconds faster than mine. If you want to save some money, get something way slower. You'll never notice the difference.
