According to Logitech, the MX Master 3S is different in just two ways from the MX Master 3:
  • It's got a higher resolution 8,000 DPI sensor (up from 4,000 DPI)
  • The mouse click is 90 percent quieter
  • Bolt receiver (credit below)
Also for those wondering, this is a great office/work mouse and not a gaming mouse (I know that's obvious for most but figured I'd share).

Re: as a gaming mouse (I have the OG Master 3) if you play slower paced (non-twitch) games, it'll be fine. I mostly play Diablo 3 and don't have any issues. I occasionally play Ghostrunner (first person platforming) and it doesn't have issues keeping up with movement. YMMV, obliviously.

I'm surprised Bolt receiver still experiences interference problem like The Verge review mentioned and needed an extension cord:

Does the white color stain with use? I have the MX Master 3 and after about a year of use you can see the finger grease burn in. 🔥
