All,

Please note, these are only 25lbs max. Not much of a work out for men here unless you are into doing several dozen reps.
Recommend purchasing a set that goes up to 50lbs that way you have a full range of weight to work with.
Most of you aren't lifting right. My arms are huge and I don't go higher than 25. Try lifting correctly.

What's your workout look like? With these lighter weights it sounds like I can do more at home and save time from getting ti the gyn

Even 50's aren't a lot in many cases. But, these are helpful for what they are: 5 to 25 lbs dumbbells in a compact space. I got these for my wife to keep by her desk. That way when she is WFH, she can easily add in a bit of movement to break up sitting all day.

Even as a larger male with a history of training for football, 5 to 25 lbs does have its uses. Mobility, accessory work, and warm-ups are great examples. I can easily find uses in circuit training and WOD's too.

All that being said, I'm not really disagreeing with you. I do agree that it is worth calling out that for men, and even many women, 25 lbs dumbbells aren't a lot for traditional strength training. And if your goal is to have one set of adjustable dumbbells to cover all of your needs, these may not be them. But if you aren't sure what you need, these aren't a bad choice either. This set will cover you for 5-25 lbs. And if you want higher, these may compliment other set(s) of dumbbells you get later.

Geez these comments did not pass the vibe check. Ease up on the gatekeeping.. there is no singular, correct way to workout. If this would help you live a more active lifestyle then that's a great thing.

It might make sense to own a lighter set and a heavier set, since different exercises will have different weight requirements, and the smaller range also means a smaller size. You could also do circuits without having as many adjustments if they include a lower weight.

I own 55 lb adjustables and always wonder if it's worth it to buy some dedicated lighter ones for stuff like lat raises and shoulder mobility exercises.

And if you never used dumbbells before, why not start out with these cheap/light ones, and add the bigger ones later if you stick with it.

While these are great for most people that just want something to keep them active and maintain a healthy physique if they want to push themselves they won't be able to after a certain point. it's similar to pushups where once you reach a certain strength level you stop gaining any more strength and the increase in quantity of pushups is only really improving stamina rather than strength. a 50 lbs version of this would have a much wider range for strength training before hitting the plateau.

generally $1 per pound shipped for normal weights is a great deal (shipping weights is expensive) so these would be a decent deal if they were normal weights. The fact that these are adjustable makes them a very good deal at this price. If you don't mid the 25 lbs limitation on the dumbells or want something inexpensive to do light to moderate routines then this is a good set.

If you have an Aldi in your neighborhood they have 50lb adjustable on clearance for around $55-65 YMMV of course.

To assume people aren't lifting right because "your arms are huge" and "you don't go above 25lbs" is pretty ignorant. So many dumbell exercises that easily exceed 25lbs and what about dropsets? C'mon man
