Our friends who lives literally across the main street from us have AT&T Fiber, but the service is not available for us. What the hell? Did they just run their fiber up to across the street and say let's screw that whole neighborhood over there? It's literally only about 300ft away.

Used to pay $60 with equipment for 1G line that got increased to $70 a few months back. ATT has been raising price on that.

AT&T through costco is offering 300 Mbps speeds for $55/month. You get a costco shopping card for $250 and over and above that if you have an AT&T mobile network, then you get $10 off every month ($45/month) for internet. And once AT&T links your both accounts, AT&T sends you a $150/- giftcard. One of the executives got me registered without payments.

Which Costco is this? Do you do it at the Costco Mobile phone station? Also I thought if you combine internet and wireless you get 25% off wireless?

Spectrum service has taken a dump on me lately, conveniently just after AT&T tore up our yard to run fiber. Not available yet... still only offering 50 at my address. Hopefully they get it up and running soon, this promo is solid.

Can anyone chime in about how reliable/good the service is? I live in IL and they just setup fiber in the neighborhood and I would like to leave xfinity

Yup, I've had it for a few years. Was $60 at first, now it's $80.

Don't expect your low promo price to exist after a year. You can call and ask for an adjustment, but it depends on the agent.

If you're good with rotating between providers, that's probably going to be your best bet.

Moving into area and grabbing this deal. Do you recommend the wi-fi extender? Going to be in a 1900 sq foot house with a lot of walls.
No, why pay an extra $10 a month when you can buy a wireless mesh router setup and only pay once?

You need enough people in your subdivision to request service. Unlike cable TV/Internet which was preinstalled, ATT has to run new fiber lines in your neighborhood. They won't do it just for 1 or 2 customers.

Depends on the area. My service is lackluster, because they don't maintain their equipment and are slow to respond to service issues.

When I first signed up, everything was new and worked well, but now the service is just so so and you NEVER get the advertised speeds outside of the speed test app (which they state in their terms).

I got one, but had to fight for the other. I was a huge pain, even through it was registered in their system.

If anyone signs up for at&t, expect to fight to receive it, but feel lucky if you actually do.

I hate cash cards due to the limited nature of them. I found that some gas pumps wouldn't recognize them, which is all I needed to use them for.

My home A/C went out and I put the whole thing on a credit card to get the 2% cash back, and my credit score on credit karma went down 60 points. I guess it doubled or tripled my credit card usage overnight. The credit card bill is on full autopay and isn't even due yet. Not sure if 19 points matters much on these publicly calculated credit scores.
Sucks about your home a/c, been there and didn't even get a t-shirt.

Nope and it'll bounce back pretty quick. Unless you're going for another loan, it seems like a non-issue?

If you live in Kansas City, stick with Google Fiber. Much more stable and less latency than AT&T.
I concur, stick with Google fiber if you have a choice.

At&t is pretty awful.

Looks like there is a passthrough option, with DMZplus setting. I can probably deal with that.
The passthrough option cuts your bandwidth in half. If you have 1gig, you'll only get <50% of that.

They do this intentionally. While they offer an option to use your own equipment, they neuter it, so it'll piss you off.

How trust worthy is At&t in honor all the $300 worth of cards?
Trustworthy? Hardly. Expect to watch the promo website like a hawk and then deal with BS to get them to honor it if there is a denial.

It will temporarily.
