Yes, I'm totally serious that you might slime shit your pants if you eat a couple packs. The reviews on Haribo's sugar free gummy bears are legendary because of this issue.
Edit: It is true that erythritol, considered a next generation artificial sweetener, tends to induce less gastrointestinal distress than earlier sugar alcohols, but it is not true that large quantities of erythritol is completely without risks. If you get a lot of flatulence off a single pack, know to keep a toilet near if you consume a few packs in a moment of weakness.
