If your card in slot 4 is below the screws and nothing coming out of the top it will fit under the bracket.

I upgraded from a Gigabyte Gaming OC 3600 TI that I picked up at MSRP back in 2020 from Best Buy.
FireStrike (Base) - 28,016 (DX11)
TimeSpy (Base) - 12,143 (DX12)
Same specs with XFX Merc 319 6900XT Black Edition
FireStrike (Base) - 40,769 (DX11)
TimeSpy (Base) - 18791 (DX12)
FireStrike saw between +80-110% increase in performance when strictly looking at graphics scores alone with the CPU scores removed.
TimeSpy at around +80-93% increase in graphics performance.
For reference to RTX 3XXX cards…this puts it around 3080-3080Ti. I've seen some benchmarks reach 3090 levels on certain games.
Personally, I'm an enthusiast and jumped on this deal since it was $100 under asking MSRP of the 6900XT REFERENCE cards and wasn't used for any mining.
Also, for those who are new to the PC building hobby or are just laymen and trying to pick something up as a gift; every new GPU release in the last decade has had stocking issues regardless of supply and demand. Even pre-COVID, the "discounts" on cards never got super low. This also happened before crypto took off. By the time the cards became "old" in the sense that a new set was on the horizon, deep discounts never happened and you were stuck buying used instead of new.
Waiting one year turns into two years and by then, guess what, the next gen is slated for release.
Lastly, NVIDIA stopped producing the RTX 3XXX in Oct 2021 to MAKE SURE the price never dropped significantly. Doesn't mean they stopped permanently, but to pause production to keep supply low…come on man.. but they're in the business of making money so I can't blame them I guess…
Timing is key and waiting is important when prices are well beyond MSRP, but when the prices hit MSRP for computer parts, it's rare to see deep discounts since the next gen product is always around the corner.
Jump in when you can, the water is always warm (except for the ridiculous prices when the global supply chain is disrupted). Then actually wait.

I don't know too much, but if this specific 3080 is comparable, then it sounds like the 3080 is a better deal since it's at a much lower price @ $770?

Granted these cards are nearly two years old but those who are constantly saying wait will never see the prices they want unless they want to buy used.
In terms of consistent performance and drivers, NVDIA is the way the go but they will always almost be more expensive than AMD.
I've always had Gigabyte Nvidia cards. My 3060TI was a Gigabyte and runs beautifully and will be put into my wife's computer, but I've heard that the RTX 3XXX Gigabyte cards are suspect on build quality.
Here's a table of actual MSRP's from April 2022. I'd base deals off this table unless there is a newer one floating around.

Hence why I picked up the $899 XFX 6900XT compared to the 3080.
When I went on YouTube to watch benchmarks with my PC specs, the 6900XT was almost at 3090 levels for the games I played except in 4K. However Nvidia is king with 4K gaming but I don't ever plan playing at 4K in this decade so that was a non-factor

I really cant be spending another $900 for a GPU but this sale was supposed to end on 6/1.
Now they have extended the sale and I'm tempted again AHHHHHHHH DECISIONS DECISIONS
