Carlinkit 4.0 is out. Can do both android auto and Apple CarPlay. I just received my 3.0 from last post at $54 that only does CarPlay from LightInTheBox. Took about 2 weeks. Only issue is that you need to install LightInTheBox app to get the price. There's a code EVENT that saves $6 off $59.

For reference: https://www.lightinthebox.com/en/...2490.html?

Mobile Link: https://m.lightinthebox.com/en/p/...42490.html

App needed to get sale price:
https://play.google.com/store/app...ox.android

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

How to adjust the delay

Posted by aznxphreak (post 218)

"I have 3.0 and suffered the audio delay issue too thats annoying when playing video. Luckily you can adjust the delay for it to be in sync. When your phone is connected, go to http://192.168.50.2 and lower the audio delay to 400ms or tune to your liking. I think this will help a lot of people.
"

From LightintheBox CS: (my Carlinkit broke with 5 months of purchase)
We have looked into your situation and noticed that your purchase is no longer under the 30 days warranty period. Unfortunately, it means that we cannot grant you a return for refund or exchange because our refund policy doesn't allow one in this case.

I have the 4.0 version for few days now. So far, I did not see audio lag. The map lags about less then a second but it is working fine. It does take about 20 - 25 seconds to connect everytime. It does both Carplay and Android auto. The calls, audio sounds are good. I did not notice lagging during music and phone calls. However, I play music using youtube and it did freezed a couple of times. It was because I lost network connect on my phone, then it comes back working fine again. FYI, the initial set up show VW on the bluetooth but I have the Hyuandai. After the set up, it updated to Hyundai. Overall, it is work good so far.
No because CarPlay uses wifi to connect to your phone. Even official Apple wireless CarPlay in a BMW won't allow you to simultaneously use the hotspot function.
I used the coupon code: LISA
It took 15% off.

The code "event" didn't work for me. "EVENT" said it would take off $6 from a $59 order. The taxes and fees don't count. FYI to others, might be able to find a $2 item to add.

Maybe I didn't pay attention last time, but LightInTheBox charges sales tax now?

According to the listing: "
▶ Chip upgrade:
CarlinKit 3.0 upgrades CarlinKit 4.0 chip, the new upgrade is more stable and fast, high-performance and high-efficiency core dual upgrade"

Website says 3.0 only supports Apple CarPlay. 4.0 supports both Apple CarPlay and auto android. There's another $37 product from this company that does auto android only

So, what does this do exactly if a car has wired Apple play?

Turns wired carplay into wireless carplay. I mounted an apple magsafe charger so all i do is get in and stick it on the magsafe. Carplay and charging without messing with cables
