I have the 4.0 version for few days now. So far, I did not see audio lag. The map lags about less then a second but it is working fine. It does take about 20 - 25 seconds to connect everytime. It does both Carplay and Android auto. The calls, audio sounds are good. I did not notice lagging during music and phone calls. However, I play music using youtube and it did freezed a couple of times. It was because I lost network connect on my phone, then it comes back working fine again. FYI, the initial set up show VW on the bluetooth but I have the Hyuandai. After the set up, it updated to Hyundai. Overall, it is work good so far.

No because CarPlay uses wifi to connect to your phone. Even official Apple wireless CarPlay in a BMW won't allow you to simultaneously use the hotspot function.

Anyone have experience with this? I'm hesitant to buy a brand I'm not familiar with since my AAWireless crapped out. My Motorola MA1 for wireless Android Auto works perfectly though. Maybe I'll just wait for a restock to get a 2nd one.

I have this. People claim the connectivity is too slow, but it's not that bad. It connects within 10 seconds.

The real issue is there can be an audio delay of about 1-1.5 seconds. Obviously, this can make phone calls an issue. So it's not perfect, but it does work well enough.

Also my only complaint. Love the convenience of it, but when making phone calls, there is a clear pause from when you say something to when the person hears it. Can be frustrating at times. Other than that, it works 90+% of the time in the car with no problem at all. If there is an issue, I just reseat the usb connection to the car and all is well.

This is to get Apple CarPlay or Android Auto wirelessly. Does your Santa Fe have CarPlay? Can you use CarPlay without plugging a USB cable in your phone? This adapter give your car that already has CarPlay the ability to use it wirelessly. BT has nothing to do with it.

I tried the 2.0 version in a Mazda CX9 (2019) and had nothing but problems. System freezing, disconnects, stock system crashing while connected. Updated the firmware and it still happening, also Mazda updated their system but this device still sucked. I wanted to like it, what a waste of money and time.
