Over the past week or so tons of stuff in Amazon Warehouse have completely disappeared. Its obviously not selling, the items are just being removed. One of my favorite time-wasters of browsing the sales in Amazon Warehouse has suddenly come to an end because most of it seems to have vanished. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

OP is correct.

Sites Like Dealforager show most of some categories gone from the Warehouse like Laptops and a lot of Amazon Basics brand stuff.

It is probably related to the over abundance of warehouse space link, perhaps they are moving the warehouse deals to different locations, but I do not think it is related to the stuff not selling.

It is possible they may be re-evaluating whether to sell it through a 3rd party....or it could be just a temporary logistics issue.

I search for what I'm looking for like normal then I have to filter by prime->used-> (seller)Amazon warehouse. Stuff I usually see that can't be found through AW search is there.

They may be selling if off in the pallet sales since the prices for these pallets has gone up so much since the new pallet unboxing videos on youtube and tiktok

That makes sense, but I hope you are not right. Amazon must run regular profitability studies on getting rid of return merch. If they sell it through the warehouse they get a lot more $$ per item, but have do deal with the cost of inspections/ shipping/ returns and all of the labor involved. Perhaps they decided selling pallets is the simplest solution.

I cant imagine they are doing pallet sale of all of this stuff. As you mentioned, laptops etc are missing. The main reason I noticed was whole sections of higher end merchandise went from 400 items found to zero. They are not selling high end items on pallets to TikTok-ers. Fury might be onto something that they have been temporarily removed from the system, I'll have to check it out in more depth later. I thought at first they were tweaking the search algorithm, about 2 weeks ago the search went from a normal number of results to a much higher, less focused subset, and then all of a sudden everything started to disappear. I was just hoping someone had some inside info.

The PC mag article implies the opposite that they have lots of space, so they would be more inclined to hang onto warehouse items to sell at higher margin.

First off, why is this marked as expired?
Secondly, there was definitely a dramatic paring down of items available this week on the AW, and all for more money.

Dang, this was my deal hobby after the final demise of Sears/Kmart (RIP, SYWR points)!

Don't tell me I have to actually start doing something productive…

You're right. I thought it was just me. I like to buy smart light bulbs from the AMZ Warehouse, but the one's I get are nowhere to be found. I've noticed this with a few other items that used to be AMZ Warehouse staples too.

Wonder if they're shutting it down? Really almost nothing there in the categories I look at.

I notified the mods about this being incorrectly marked expired.....they did not change it. My guess is they think the thread is about the physical warehouses being empty....like the 1st poster did. Amazon Eliminating most of the direct Warehouse Deals inventory is what this is about, and like you I got a lot of eBayable stuff from them. Perhaps more complaints will get it unexpired.

How do you complain to the mods? Also, maybe the title should read: "Amazon Warehouse Deals being emptied."

Click on "Mod Alert" under the 1st post...then click other and explain it should not be expired.

You are right about the title...that may be the problem. Amazon does not call it deals anymore, but that is what we all think of it as.

Wave The thread was started in Deal Talk so that's why it shows "expired" since that's where expired deals go. I have moved it to Consumer Awareness since there isn't a deal posted in the thread and everyone can continue the discussion in here

Thanks

I'm going through Warehouse withdrawal! I thought maybe it was just me, but then I had someone else check their account lol I have found some of the best deals, and other times, I wonder how an item can be marked inspected when you receive a box that has been returned and never opened. Or how about receiving someone's very worn old shoes, I'm talking a few years old (the style was discontinued 3 years ago) instead of the shoes you ordered. Seriously though I have gotten several items where someone sent in an old used item, nasty! Oh, and a flag that was burned? Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences? But the deals outweigh those crazy experiences. I hope it comes back soon! This happened sometime last year too. I need my addiction back!
