This "deal" only makes sense for SOME bad condition trade-ins with cracked screens.

Hoarding Hoarding for 2 years
"Covid, Covid! Supply Chain Blah Blah. Pay more!
And now the floodgates of the warehouses finally open up as people dont buy as much as 2020 money printing days.
We see that with GPUs, Xboxes and starting to see that with PS5 and even cars too.
One other reason is that I'm getting into cloud gaming, and one of the things I was planning on getting was the Razer Kishi (or Gamevice rebranded controller) that fits around the phone. From what I understand, the S21U may be a bit longer than what is recommended to use on those controllers. Is the S22U better in that regard?
Oh ya, i have EDU account
Anyways, now I have another question. How is the heat/throttling of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1? I know the battery life of the S22U is less than the S21U, but does that mean it's not throttled as much? Would less throttling when active mean it'll heat up more?

Just ordered one
• The device I'm trading in is one that I bought using an equal payment or other financing plan, and I still have payments left on it. Can I still trade it in?
Yes – however, please note that all remaining payments on the device you're trading in are your responsibility. You may also be subject to additional fees. Check with your current carrier for details.
so unless the phone is specifically a lease then it shouldn't matter
the reason it shouldn't matter is most people wouldn't leave their carrier while the plan is in place because you would automatically have to pay the rest off upfront and forfeit the credits you get
The S10 seemed worth it because trade in value for that was 800 (bill credits over 36 months), and i was at most, going to get 300 for a cracked phone from Samsung.
Only thing that sucks is that bill credits will only be applied if you keep the phone, so if you try to switch or upgrade early, you wont get the bill credits. It you think you'll hold the phone for 3 years, verizon's 800 option might be good
