Almonds are primarily grown in California and require A SHIT TON of Water. I'm sure you can make the conflict connection there.
Oatmilk would be the best substitute, I use Cashew Milk personally (which isn't a whole lot better than almond).
Where do you get your cashew milk? I've looked for it at stores but haven't see any on the shelves.

I get it at Walmart in Illinois. The Silk Cashew is in a yellowish brown container.
