Anyone know if this model can install play store and/or be rooted?
Oh for anyone else interested in livexlive but not interested in buying the stick, this app from f-droid.org named Ad Silence will mute your phone when ads play. Not quite as seemless but the occasional few seconds of silence isn't near as bad as listening to the ads. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/b...d_silence/ It works for accuradio, Tidal, Spotify, Pandora and LivexLive. Dev is friendly and willing to add new media sources if ad is able to be detected. If you get a notification in your pull down menu and it shows AD or something similar when ad is playing it's typically doable.
It can be unlocked to sideload apks and the Aptoide store is the alternative to the Play Store.
From the Youtube review / comparison videos I have seen the most notable upgrades is WIFI 6 and the speed at booting up is much improved... but otherwise is hard to notice the difference.
