When folks are giving reject comments outright, I wish they could just give a comparable tv in the same price range with better specs (price is critical)
I just think that will be more advantageous for folks who have no idea what to look for after they have read the negative.

The rtings reviewer actually disagrees with you on the dark room comment, states its still a good tv for that situation cause of its great contrast ratio and black level uniformity.

Overall this looks like a good all around daily use tv, even for gaming.

Use only in a bright room where black levels are not important...this is a terrible TV for a theater room or darker room setting
Have you not tried it on movie mode or any other setting besides factory default?

How does it compare to the Samsung 85" qn90a that was listed on here recently (besides rtngs dot com comparison that is)?

Same here. That qn90a they are talking about sounds great, but I go look at prices and it's twice the cost of this tv, someone point me to that one for this price.

They can't. And I will always suggest, if you can, going to look at a tv in store before purchasing. The reviews for the Sony x80j were mediocre but when I saw it in the store today, I was pleasantly surprised.

Remember, you don't watch TV in a store setting...most people here that pay a premium for a flagship TV prefer to save up and purchase a TV that has the best possible colors and black levels in their environment at home. Most of the time, the premium allows for outstanding black levels and/or very high levels of brightness that lower end TVs can't match. If your eyes can't tell the difference, or your time is spent watching cable TV that is never in true 4k or HDR formats, the premium for a flagship may not be worth it for you.

Damn the haters. I've had the 75" of this for 3 years and nobody has complained a single time. If you're not looking for the BEST picture ever, this is a great deal. How many people do you know that are going to critique your TV???

I agree with you for the most part but I have a few caveats. I'd venture to say that most people don't need a premium tv. They want something that looks decent with enough brightness to make the colors pop. I have a top tier tv and I wish I would have gone for a bigger, slightly less compelling tv. Truth of the matter is, I got swept up in the reviews. I keep my tv pretty dim because it's eye searingly bright. I very much appreciate the black levels but I can definitely see myself also appreciating an 80+ inch tv with decent black levels and far less brightness. My tv is only 65''.

Perfectly happy with this tv for our spare living room. It streams everything perfectly fine.

Also ps5 plays games with no issues on it

Dang I got this TV earlier when it was 1300 with the 3 yr all state insurance. Anyway to price match or somehow get it at this price?

The TV is pretty good for the price. Definitely can't handle a super bright room but with the shades closed it is good.
Same paid 1300

I'm fine with it. No issues

I bought the non-QLED for this price a few months ago...I'd take this in it's place...I'm sure it's not worse.

Only thing that hurt my feelings were a couple weeks after I bought mine, the same store had the 85" for $50 less. I was going to return but it was so hard getting the 82" home, I didn't get it. Thought about asking my neighbor who has a pickup truck, but when I went back the price was back to normal...I guess it was a price mistake.
