Your math is correct, but just know that some Best Buy wouldn't know how to process the enhanced trade in value correctly. I suggest you bring a print out showing the $450 trade in value, but even then, there is no guarantee that you'll get it.

I drove for 20 minutes to a Best Buy the other day just to be told that my phone (Z Flip 3) was not on their trade in list, even though I said I did the same deal just a week ago at a different store. I argued for 20 minutes and didn't get anywhere, so the next day I went to a different store and got the deal in less than 10 minutes.

Not all Best Buy employees are trained the same, so don't be discouraged if one store says no, and just go to a different one.

FYI, you only get these prices if you activate the phone on the big 4 carriers.

When you go in the store to trade in, many of them will have trouble with the trade in value. They'll offer you whatever low amount they would typically give. You'll need to correct them and tell them it's a promo. Show them the webpage on your phone on the BestBuy site (go to any S22 product page and there's a blue heading above the price, click that).

Then, they may believe you but have trouble figuring out their system. When they pull up the model for the trade in, they have to go past the initial screen. When they do, the promo should show up. Then it's going to ask them for the promo code. That code is literally SAMSUNG. It's nowhere to be found otherwise.

I've traded in 3 phones under this promo because of the high values they're offering. Each experience varied.

1) First store did it without issue once I balked at the low trade in and mentioned the promo. He knew everything.

2) Second store couldn't figure out where the promo was and is responsible for the info I provided above.

3) Third guy refused, said they don't do trade ins and when shown the promo called his manager. Manager said Best Buy would have to be stupid to do this and refused. Lol. This was the same store as the first time, just different employees. Went to another store and they did it just fine.

Point is, the experience will vary widely depending upon the knowledge level of the employee. Just be polite and patient and stick to your guns. Most of them just aren't aware of the promotion or familiar with how to do it. One manager was so happy when I told her I thought I knew the promo code that she fist bumped me and thanked me profusely twice. Only one guy was a complete @$$.

Hmmm, I wonder why they don't have the Pixel 4a listed as an eligible trade-in, but they have the 3a and such :/

On bestbuy.com "New or upgrade line: Galaxy S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra: $800". On Verizon website "Get up to $800 off this device when you trade in. New line required."

New line only right?

The issue is not even availability to a folder or access to the information for an employee to successfully do the promotion. It is the unwillingness and stupidity of the Best Buy employees that I encountered to even listen or attempt the process that I explained to them. I tried multiple stores. At one I was told by a manager "we don't do promos like that here."

At another store an equally moronic employee even arrogantly informed me from the start that he is "THE T-Mobile expert who handles all of the T-Mobile transactions at their Best Buy store". When I explained the deal, he looked at me like I asked him to solve a Rubik's cube in under 8 seconds. He said "I can't do that here. You would need to do a trade like that at a T-Mobile store," and immediately walked away.

Congrats to those that were able to find cooperative employees. For me, it was too time consuming and frustrating to deal with stupid. Instead, I did my deals via Samsung. Their reps suck too but at least their deals work out for me.
No wonder you can't get the deal...
First of all you are telling them the wrong information if you read the previous thread on s22..
I am not going to look it up the 100 times and paste the thread here again

How this deal is structured, it was an origin Samsung/Bestbuy deal that you get extra trade-in value for and unlocked Samsung s22. This trade-in deal have NOTHING to do with any carrier.
That's why you NEED to tell them you want to trade-in the phone with the "SAMSUNG" promo code which give you the trade in value, then you get a Bestbuy GC this is the FIRST PROCEDURE.

Then someone here discovered that you can double dip the above offer with carrier discount.
So now if you "activate" the phone with any of the 3 carriers you can get the carrier discount.

IF you just want you can forgo the activate discount and you can still get the phone for maybe $100 more, this way you don't even need to deal with the carrier activation thing.

The moment you go ask the T-Mobile specialist means that you are doing it all wrong.
Please go read the previous thread if you need more information..

I am currently on Cricket wireless with an unlocked S10 from Samsung. I drove all the way to the best buy and I was told that I cant do it without paying full price? I'm not sure if the bestbuy person did not understand the deal but the way I see it was the following:

1. Buy an unlocked S22+ 256GB for $749.99
2. Trade in my unlocked S10 from Samsung for $400 per their enchance trade in.
3. Pay the difference?
Can someone explain to me if its possible for my situation?
me any other people has explained the process... so go back and read it

Where does it show or anywhere specify that a S21+ gets $600 towards purchase?I have read all the threads. Was going to trade my phone into Google Fi, I got my S22 Ultra there for $599 without trade in.
Hint: On the OP there are 2 links click on both links and one of them will lead you to the TIV.

They all run different promotions.
Probably one of the stupidest promotions I've seen, primarily with the in-store only component AND "on select unlocked Samsung Galaxy phones"

I suggest you refer to the promotion terms/fine print, it's detailed out in there. Take your magnifying glass out to find it though.
And/or go thru cart wizard & you should be asked & stopped on this there via the condition & damage checkboxes, especially.
