I have so many of these and they are bright. I'm switching to all gradient light strips on the TV for Sync. Not sure what to do with all the bars....lol.

My point....if you are considering this for TV backlighting with Sync.....get the gradient strip. The Play Bars do work well though in addition to the Strip.

if you want the Play Bars.....this is a great price.

good price on these, but keep in mind there is only one power adapter. it can handle all 3 lights, but if youre like me and wanted to use 2 lights in one place and one in another you'll need a 2nd adapter. also, I've found the separate HDMI sync box to be pretty awful

Here are a few videos I did with only Hue Play Bars (no gradient strip) and a Sync box. I did add more Bars after this video was made and eventually removed them all and am using the Gradient Strip for top and sides and Play Bars for the bottom.

Pretty good deal. Hard to find them below $50 per light, even when used/refurb. Needing a costco membership is unfortunate. Unless you have one, of course...

Why's everyone hating on my comment? :-(

I actually have these light bars in addition to the gradient strip. Not saying this will work for everyone, but I have shelves on both sides of my TV that I've placed the play bars to "extend" the lighting effects. And if you have your TV mounted and have shelving space below, you could add extra lighting effect below the TV since the gradient strip doesn't go along the bottom.

I just used Velcro tape and taped mine to the back of the tv. They look great!

I've been eyeing the hdmi sync box. But The price and lack of features I am hesitant.

Man…for some reason I thought this was a deal on the sync box. Been waiting for a deal for that many years. I got these hue play with two lights for about $60 a couple of years ago.

I see this says "requires a hue bridge". How much is that?

The Hue Sync Box? I dunno, I love mine. Use it daily. What don't you like about it?

Hue Bridges can be found for about $25 used on e-bay or fb marketplace. Many people who already have an existing set will buy starter kits that come with bridges included and sell them to recoup some of the costs. This is probably the cheapest way to find one.

Without the sync box, you won't be able to get this to sync colors with TV content unless you run your signal through a laptop and use the app to sync.

didn't find the color sync to be very accurate, and after getting a new sound bar it messed with arc power function
