Snakes for snagging hair clogs have been great for me. It's gross having to pull the gunk out, but it actually resolves the actual issue.

"It will damage your pipes."

But it doesn't damage the cheap plastic container it comes? C'mon, guys!!

Right but some people have old iron pipes which pure lye is highly corrosive to.

Just had to buy some at my local safeway. Same size = $9 after tax. Will grab another here to save for later.

Recommend using pure lye instead of drano. Less expensive too.

As any plumber would tell you, plungers are the most effective clog removal tools and to avoid this if at all possible

Yep, I use plunger first and then either snake or baking soda + vinegar.

I think this stuff should be illegal to sell. It will ruin your pipes.

My plumber recommends using ZEP instead of this.
He really knows his stuff

I've had good results with green gobbler after many attempts with draino.

Walmart store brand worked well after years of gunk built up in 4 drains. With 20% off on Amazon… Drano 80oz is same price as Great Value 80oz. No brainer assuming that the branded product may be even better.

I recently bought a sink plunger and found it to be far more effective than drano at clearing the clog in my bathroom sink.

I've also found drano to be ineffective. For our bathroom sinks, this simple drain weasel has been most effective - the hair and gunk are usually within the first foot of the drain stopper at our household. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Flexi.../203483754

It's supposed to be disposable but I've been using the same one for probably over 3 years.

THIS! I have 5 kids and I was getting to the point where I was buying a drano a month. Someone told me I should try these and they work great! It's a three pack and you can re-use them. But the get kinda gross, so it's up to you. If you want to get the gunk off, and re-use them, you might want cheap disposable gloves.

But they work awesome, and I don't feel like I'm putting bad chemicals into the sewer. It really works better than the drano was! If your issue is hair, get these!

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide combo works very well.

If you must use a drainer, I suggest using Instant Power Hair Clog Remover for higher success. Costs more, but actually works. My plumber recommended it
