Wow, that's an incredible price! We love our robot vacuum. The tab that locks the dustbin in place broke on ours awhile back, and because the dustbin was backordered, they just replaced the entire vacuum. 😳 Vacuum sometimes has weird pathfinding around obstacles. The map sometimes gets messed up, but we resolve it by just picking the unit up and putting it back on the charger, and it corrects itself. 99% of the time, we send it out to vacuum, forget about it completely, and come back to clean floors! We have mostly wood floors, but previously had carpet, and it's done great on both, in our experience.

Just felt like posting because we really like ours, so call me a Robot Vacuum evangelist, I guess. lol

I wouldn't touch this. I wanted to buy this around Black Friday but stumbled upon this thread.

https://forums.wyzecam.com/t/robo.../183918/19

It's an ongoing issue that wyze won't address.

Thought of returning my s5 max and pull the trigger on this, but looking at the horrible hard wood marks pictures I backed off!
Is this still an issue or has it been fixed? All the posts are from last year

I have 3 of these for different levels in the house and it is pretty good. The mapping is accurate and you can edit the maps rather easily - manage rooms etc.
Is it easy to add two of these to Wyze app?

I've had one for a year and never saw any issues on hardwood and tile. We don't have any carpet though

Good looking out.
Wow, I was going to buy another. I just went and checked mine on carpet, and I have one blueish mark like others have described. Thanks for the save!

Thanks to both of you for this. I canceled my order and will wait for a good deal on another brand, probably a Roborock LIDAR model.

I have nice floors and expensive carpets. Saving a few dollars on a vacuum that could potentially ruin them would be a false economy of the highest order.

I have some Wyze 3 cameras that I like, but yes, the issue with them failing to disclose known security vulnerabilities with their cameras for so long is inexcusable. It also shows that the company has a culture of covering up known problems, so it seems very plausible that the reports of permanent floor and carpet stains caused by the wheels of this vacuum are real and that Wyze is in CYA mode about it.

I already didn't trust Wyze because of their camera security hole cover-up. I'm just not going to risk it with the vacuum given the multitude of reports with photos of damage.

A easy workaround would be to insert a piece of plastic next to the charging base . They give this plastic with the Roborock vacumms but you can easily make one on your own. I had a Wyze vacuum before and I was extremely happy with it . Battery life is short but for the price it was worth it.

No experience with Wyze robot vacuums
But for the features (LiDar & mapping) and known brand this seems like a nice price.
Mapping is really helpful but hit and miss seems like and always takes a while to learn your floor plan. I haven't used the Wyze but I've had two Shark Ions and a D series (forgot brand). The price is definitely great but for the Wyze issues mentioned I personally would wait for Kohls to have their periodic special on Shark and other brands. I think around Christmas they got down to $120 w/$20kohls cash for one model also with mapping and app control.

I really like the app scheduling function. My little guy starts on his journey each morning at 8am after we leave the house and only sometimes gets stuck and decides to play hide and seek. My cat hates it lol

I bought it for Christmas from Wyze for $170 + S/H. After loading a special firmware, it maps multiple floors. There are some quirks, but overall very happy. It makes the kitchen more bearable with three kids.

Ebay. Sold new from dusodeals which has really high seller ratings.

I bought the wyze since Walmart has a easier return policy in case it doesn't work as expected.

Anyone know if it works on the 2.4 or 5ghz band? I bought a eufy vac previously and it wouldn't connect to WiFi.
2.4ghz only.
