Wow, that's an incredible price! We love our robot vacuum. The tab that locks the dustbin in place broke on ours awhile back, and because the dustbin was backordered, they just replaced the entire vacuum. 😳 Vacuum sometimes has weird pathfinding around obstacles. The map sometimes gets messed up, but we resolve it by just picking the unit up and putting it back on the charger, and it corrects itself. 99% of the time, we send it out to vacuum, forget about it completely, and come back to clean floors! We have mostly wood floors, but previously had carpet, and it's done great on both, in our experience.

Just felt like posting because we really like ours, so call me a Robot Vacuum evangelist, I guess. lol

I wouldn't touch this. I wanted to buy this around Black Friday but stumbled upon this thread.

It's an ongoing issue that wyze won't address.

In the wyze app, click in your vacuum. You'll see the mapping of your floor. There's 3 icons on the right. Click on the 1st one that looks like a bunch of layers. The 2nd one is spot cleaning. The 3rd is to edit the map.

Did the replacement vacuum have the same issue?
I actually am using the replacement one on my laminate wood flooring since I'm pretty sure it'll have the same issue on the carpet and I rather not go through trying to clean the black marks again. I actually placed painter's tape over the flooring where the wheels rest when docking and it does leave black mark but not as bad. I mop the floor 1-2x every week so doubt it's just dirt from the wheels also given that I have another brand's robot vacuum cleaning another high traffic area and it doesn't leave any mark when docking.

DON'T BUY!! They don't include the dock or transformer. Both are required to use the vacuum. It's a paperweight unless you already have the dock & transformer or can order them at Wyze.
Return it and order another then. Jeez. Of course it comes with the power supply and home base

FYI & FWIW, I already had a spare on hand so I don't have to do the shuffle for returns, but I wanted to warn others.

Just finished mapping the first floor. I do not see the icon you mentioned. I only see the gears/settings icon and the pencil/edit map icon. Am I missing something?

Did you update the app? If you're using the beta version you might not see it. Need to use the regular version.

I bought two of these and have decided to return them after 2 days. I've had nothing but trouble getting it to map my 2nd floor, the battery life is awful compared to my Roborock (only cleaned about 500 sq ft before needing to charge), and even though 2 new firmware versions have been released this year it keeps telling me my firmware (April 2021) is up to date. I have the S4 Max and this vacuum absolutely pails in comparison to it. The navigation is super clunky, it keeps running into my baseboards, and it likes to do random circles around furniture. It's a good price, but you really get what you pay for here. Wyze support has also been very unhelpful in trying to get my vacuum to update. Will wait for another good Roborock deal

This was my exact experience as well. Plus it wouldn't dock on carpet.

Bought two and used for two days, cleans well. But what they say in forums are true. The wheels are cheap quality rubber and they do make a stain on the floor. Very low quality ones. I don't know what to do? Wheels are same size as roborock ones, may be I will try to replace them🤔.
let us know how it goes?

Great cleaner/lines but I'm done after self disposing, game changer.

I don't think the battery life is a big concern, as if it runs low on battery it just returns to charge itself and picks up where it left off. Since I'm not the one vacuuming, this isn't really a problem for me as its vacuuming on its own time.

S4 Max is roughly the cost of two of these Wyze vacuums, meaning you could even have them run simultaneously for different zones, or have one for downstairs and one upstairs on a schedule rather than haul the S4 around manually.

The only major fault I see with the Wyze are the reports from some about tire marks where it charges.
