I picked up A Hat In Time, Smurfs: Mission Vileaf and Scarlet Nexus (all for PS4) IN STORE earlier today for $63.59 total.
I included a picture below showing the promotion applying as well as one of the games I picked up.
Look for games marked BUNDLE AND SAVE to find games that qualify for the sale as the link above does NOT reflect everything included in the sale.
QA note: "B2G1 Free On Select Games. Some exclusions apply. Applicable to physical items valid online only. Prices are subject to change."

I know gamestop only really ever do these deals with pre-owned but I thought they might have actually tried to go the "power to the players" route for once.
2. 90% of these games have already been cheaper as standalone sales at some point.

But it does look like the majority are so I agree the title should be updated.

WarioWare Get It Together (Switch)
Mary Skelter Finale (Switch)
Colors Live (Switch)
Tales of Arise (PS5) -- Can double-up on the savings since this one is on sale for $20. Using the promo would bring it down to $13.33 (if purchasing 3 games for $20 each and averaging the cost among them (so $40/3 = $13.33/ea.)
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Anniversary Edition (Switch)
Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer (Switch)
Seems like a good many more.
2. Haven't tracked the pricing on games to know well enough to argue this point. Certainly might be the case for some games.

You can utilize store pickup to save on shipping. As frustrating as that is, there is still significant savings to be had even if you have to fork out shipping costs.
as in open gutted games (sold as "new")

Edit: To further clarify, the only instance that I can see this happening is you are buying the last copy of that game they have on hand and this was the game they opened so they have a case to use for the shelf but the game itself is never used. It wouldn't make sense for them to open every single copy of new/sealed games they get in. lol

A few months ago I ordered online and they shipped me a gutted copy of the game. Most of the time you're right, but on occasion, you'll be unlucky. I told them I didn't want it and returned it. No way I wanted the gutted copy, and the case itself was just....nasty. Furthermore, since I'm a GameStop Pro member I've noticed depending on the game/item, they will ship it from the store instead of a central warehouse. If it comes from the warehouse it's guaranteed to be new and sealed. But if the warehouse doesn't have it, and the store has it, then caveat emptor. Another order of mine came that way, brand new and sealed, but was shipped by a physical Gamestop store. How I knew this? Where it shipped from, and the game itself came in a special cardboard box that you could tell had not been in a warehouse. It had some issues, but again, was new and sealed.
