I bought a pair of Gunnar Onyx for my wife who was suffering from migraines pretty consistently. These glasses helped her until she stopped using them when she set her phone and OS X settings to have blue blocking throughout the day.
I liked the Onyx for myself post-Lasik since I found my eyes were becoming dry while attempting to code all day. I ended up also buying the Gunnar Intercepts Amber Max Tint which have a smaller, less clunky rim while also blocking 98% of blue light.
In combination with allergy drops as needed and now being 6-months post-Lasik, I still occasionally wear my Intercepts when my eyes feel a bit dry/tired/blurry, like they are today.

Agreed. I don't understand it either. Seems like a load of poppycock

Thanks for that, I never realized my Mac had that setting. Just turned it on, being on it all day I think its bothering my eyes.
I have mine on the night only schedule, but within a few minutes I typically don't even notice it. Unless you're editing photos or watching videos, I doubt you'll notice the shift. 🤞🏽
Oh, and for those on Linux: redshift ftw.
