They all need to be stored straight since they require bolt/nut to be removed in order to fold.

ST1620T ($199) is the top of the line this year. 16", Carbon Fibre shaft, Powerload(string auto wind), and Line-IQ (auto feed string)
ST1520S($149) is previous top of line. 15", CF shaft, Powerload, but bump feed.
ST1500SF($99) is basic model. 15", manual sting load, and bump feed.

CF shaft is stronger, but does not have much weight benefit.

EDIT: 1620 also has telescopic shaft, if you are height challenged like myself.

I need more ego battery's on sale I buy the kits and have plenty of new blowers sitting in the boxes just for the battery.

Yes you can, but I like the smallest battery on my string trimmer. The other batteries are too heavy for me and tires me out quicker.

Yes the battery can be swapped between all the tools.
It's balanced and not that heavy.
