I've never had a Ryobi tool or battery fail for over 10 years on room additions and remodeling work. (Dewalt though did fail on me.) Doubt I'm just the lucky one.
Driving screws, cutting wood. Turns out there is more than one tool brand on earth that can do these exceptionally simple tasks. Or can you look at a screw and just TELL that it was a Ryobi driver?
I have this Ryobi combo kit, it is perfect for a weekend warrior like myself, if you are more of a heavy duty user, you may want to consider a different brand, or a brushless kit, but for the rest of us who fix or build things here and there, you can't go wrong with this.

if tempted by the walmart hart five-tool (really three-tool), strongly consider this six-tool (really five-tool) with $30 of 4ah battery thrown in.

Not a terrible deal, but nothing like the Discount Tool Outlet deal for 10 tools plus batteries from a month or so ago.

This is a great deal; I bought my set for $199 almost two years ago and they've done all the weekend warrior stuff with no issue. Obviously I've used the drill everywhere but the multi tool has been great for drywall and the recip. saw has been perfect for pruning.

How does this compare to the 5 tool brushless kit for 199?

It doesn't have the circular saw. If you don't need it then go with the brushless, it should last longer

I like your deal better slightly. I bought the ops 6 tool kit and returned it and bought a identical 6 tool kobalt 24v kit for $250 on clearance and its way better. Im thinking the hp line is significantly more powerful

both deals are fantastic though and the 2 best tool deals for first time users for any brand. Jmo

But DeWalt will impress your friends, LMAO.

Yeah the only people I hear complaining about Ryobi are the people who own DeWalt not Ryobi.

They can but it's really awkward. You just pile them in there.

I do use it for carrying my vehicle when I'm going somewhere with them but it's not perfect.
