It's a fantastic rod and not just a kid's toy. I own 30 or more rods and the Dock Runner still gets regular use. My wife owns a Dock Demon. it's kind of cool, and it is plenty durable to catch big fish, but it casts abysmally compared to a spinning reel Dock Runner.
