Idk, reviews look a little scary https://www.newegg.com/p/2WC-003C-00001

TLDR; the power brick and/or battery might die pretty quickly.

This deal was popular a few weeks back and I have been tracking it ever since. Here is the popular deal that initially put it on my radar with discussion.

https://slickdeals.net/f/15802159-intel-whitebook-15-gaming-laptop-refurb-15-6-fhd-ips-144hz-i7-9750...

After 2 weeks of research I decided this was the laptop I wanted. Most more current laptops at this $650 price point are running a much lower powered 3050 card. (comparison here [userbenchmark.com]). There are some pretty solid deals for laptops in the $800-$1000 range with a 3060 or even 3070 card, but most of those laptops are pretty heavy.

Overall this laptop seems to be a great combination of price, size (under .85 inches, barely over 4 lbs), battery size, and processing power. You likely want to add another $30 stick of ram and possibly a larger ssd.

This review is worth reading if you are interested in this laptop. It's a longer-term review which I think are the best type. It's slightly Linux focused but still good points are made.

Specs are amazing for the value, the keyboard is hot garbage. Many mistypes, non response, stiff actions. Unfortunately couldn't tolerate it even the slightest and this is going back.

has 2 pcie 3x4 2280 slots. My nephew has been strugging with his 1050 laptop for a while and was about to pounce on a 3050 deal for him. Thanks for the deal, in for 1!

I bought this last time this was at 650. Really good PC for gaming and surfing. I get 144hz on Forza horizon 5 at high settings. Some people complain about the keyboard, mines works well so ymmv

Tempting, but would probably need RAM and nvme upgrade. This 2070 should perform slightly below a 3060 with similar wattage even with its 8GB of Vram vs a 3060 6Gb of vram.

Glad to hear you like it. Seems like a really mixed bag. I've got one coming that should be here next week. I will update when mine comes in as well

purchased this and love it. The fans are definitely louder than my Lenovo 1650 laptop, but for the price and I dropped 32 gig ram plus a 1tb ssd I'm happy with it. No issue and runs great plus the battery is totally on point great job guys. The keyboard certainly takes some clicking or a deeper button press compared to my other laptop I'll adjust.

Have this, but I don't really recommend. Battery takes forever to charge. It actaully isn't as light as most reviews make it, but I guess at the size of a 15.6" laptop its as light as it gets. Power brick is huge. Just wanted to share my experience Smilie Oh and you have to download a sketchy program to change the lighting of the keyboard and other settings.

Bought it on the previous deal. Keyboard is garbage, but I use the laptop hooked up to an external display+keyboard, so I can live with it. Great price for this GPU. I can recommend it with an external keyboard
