Costco often has the Callaway set for about $500, it's the best starter set IMO. Mainly because it's going to last well past the point where you break 100, unlike the ultra cheap sets

Try looking on Craigslist or Facebook market place. You can find a good beginner set for a fair price.

Agreed, great starter set.

The odyssey putter it comes with is valued probably around $200 retail.

I tried looking at Craigslist but there are so many options and mostly old stuff that ended up going with the Costco set
