Just an fyi. Biotin supp can alter thyroid function tests and troponin levels. The latter is important for detecting a heart attack. It has fallen out of favor for sup of healthy hair, skin, nails due to the risk for harm and the fact that a true biotin deficiency is pretty rare. Eating a balanced diet should cover your bases.

I have issues with dry scalp and dry cuticles that flake and peel. I've tried everything - shampoos and conditions without sulfides and sulfates, water softener, whole home filter, etc. No mater what I did, I keep suffering with the above. We live in a dry climate so I'm sure that doesn't help. I'm considering trying this as my wife recently started taking Biotin and her dry scalp is nearly gone amongst other things. So what's a guy to do?

See your friendly neighborhood dermatologist. I get a lot of "i have dry scalp" only to diagnose them with an actual condition. People live years so miserable and I fix them in days-weeks. Give it a shot!
